1. 100 People for Sacred Heart
The Sacred Heart environmental club is looking for 100 people to support our efforts by becoming members of Green Light Sacred Heart.
As a member, you donate $30 dollars, the equivalent of one CFL light bulb per month for one year. With 100 memberships, we can change the bulbs for over 30 households, saving a total of 470,000 KWH in electricity, $540,000 in electric bills, and reducing the city’s CO2 output by over 500,000 pounds. 2. The BuyGreenGiveGreen Campaign
Install CFLs in your home, and help our community!
BuyGreenGiveGreen allows you to purchase energy efficient light bulbs for
your home and contribute to our project at the same time. For each bulb you buy, Green Light will install one CFL in a low income home.
The BuyGreenGiveGreen program offers specialty bulbs, including chandelier, flood lights and LEDs. You can try out the bulbs before purchasing them and Green Light answers any questions about specific light fixtures and bulb recycling programs. We’ll also calculate your carbon footprint reduction!

Green Light New Orleans installs about 10,000 compact fluorescent light bulbs in the New Orleans area each month. In order to provide these services, Green Light has launched two fundraising campaigns. Sacred Heart students, in addition to volunteering, are committed to helping Green Light continue these operations through different fundraising opportunities.
